Driving tuition, at learner level, really does only give you the basics in terms of driver skills. Yet, the majority of people seem to think they have all the driver skills they need once they passed the driving test and finished with their driving instructors.

Get in Gear is a young driver safety initiative commissioned and sponsored by Bucks County Council Transport for Buckinghamshire. The programme is a 6–hour advanced driving course, which comprises of three 2–hour modules, and open to 17 – 24 year olds who have passed their driving test within the past 12–months. There is a group theory presentation, advanced driver training practical session on rural roads and training on motorways. Driving instructors on the Get in Gear team have attended advanced driving courses, delivered by people who have been trained by the emergency services in advanced driving. Therefore, for young drivers, they will get the very best available in advanced driver training. |

Bucks and Oxon Driver Training isn’t just an ordinary driving school, but takes road driving to a much higher level with its carefully crafted advanced driving courses. As well as being high grade ADI’s, driving instructors with Bucks and Oxon Driver training have qualified with the IAM as advanced drivers, holding RoSPA Gold certificates and have passed an accredited advanced driving course.
